Interesting pub. Visited in father's day and they were totally full. However I felt that maybe they have over booked as the Cook kept complaining about the amount of work and then then customers were asking how long their food would be. I stayed for one drink. The beer was of a good quality.
I quite like the set-back-in-time style of this pub with its genuinely home cooked food, overstocked bar and generally tired appearance. Lunchtime at least, the clientele is well into pensionable age so the ambiance can be described as quiet. Difficult to star this accurately as this totally depends on your age...
